The performance of the pyfakefs setup has been decreasing sufficiently, especially with the 4.x releases. This release corrects that by making the most expansive feature optional, and by adding some other performance improvements. This shall decrease the setup time by about a factor of 20, and it shall now be comparable to the performance of the 3.4 release.
patchfs decorator now expects a positional argument instead of the keyword arguments fs. This avoids confusion with the pytest fs fixture and conforms to the behavior of mock.patch.
